GURNEE AND GRAYSLAKE, ILLINOIS – Orthodontics provider Dr. Michael Stosich and his team of trained, experienced professionals offer adult braces and give a complimentary consultation for anyone in the Round Lake, Gurnee, Waukegan and Grayslake, IL area.

No matter what age you are, it is never too late to begin orthodontic treatment. We are excited to meet new faces when they come into our office.

The initial appointment consists of meeting Dr. Stosich and the treatment coordinator. A thorough examination is performed, which takes 40 minutes to complete.
“Our goal is for you to feel comfortable during this visit,” says dentofacial orthopedist Dr. Stosich. “We want to address any questions or concerns you may have.”
Braces expert Dr. Stosich explains a few of the basics discussed during this initial visit.

What type of orthodontics is right for you?
There are many different techniques and appliances used to get the beautiful smile of your dreams. The treatments can include clear braces, metal brackets, Invisalign or Suresmile. This appointment will pinpoint the treatment that is right for you.

When should you start?
The severity of the bite and crowding can determine when you should begin orthodontic treatment. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child should see an orthodontist by age 7, according to its website.
When it comes to adult orthodontic treatment, the start time could be immediately. Children however, may need to wait until all permanent teeth have erupted.

Are Teeth Going To Be Extracted?
In some cases the second bicuspid may need to be removed to make more room for the teeth to line up.

How Long Will You Be In Braces?
This is the number one question many patients ask. This depends on the treatment you need. Everyone has a different experience with braces.

How Much Will It Cost And What Will Insurance Cover?
Prices and insurance coverage depend on the extent of the treatment. This will be discussed during the first visit.
If treatment is needed, a follow-up exam is scheduled for diagnostic models. X-rays, pictures and molds will be used to customize your treatment plan. Once the plan is set, your journey with braces will begin.
